Living in Cowley

Cowley has easy access into the City Centre with buses coming every 5 minutes, this is ideal for those who work in the centre or around. If you’re looking to unwind after a long day at work then Cowley has great pubs around which can offer you the pint need you need such as the Cape of Good Hope which is on The Plain and James Street Tavern.

Learning in Cowley

There are various schools around Cowley which are suitable for both Primary and Secondary age children as well as Adult Learners.

Relaxing in Cowley

Florence Park is situated in East Oxford, only a short walk from Cowley Road and Templar Square. The park is field with lovely greenery throughout along with a tennis court, mini golf set and an ice cream café which is ideal for children and families. I would recommend for anyone in Oxford to go to Florence Park for a weekend to have a picnic.

Highlight

Café Baba – Great cocktails and atmosphere never had a dull moment. Antep Kitchen – I went there for my 18th birthday and threw the biggest hissy fit as I wanted to get burgers and fries but instead my parents took me to Antep Kitchen and it has been my favourite restaurant on Cowley Road. Tick Tock Café – Never let me down with a meal, have definitely been there for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Local View

I have lived in the Cowley Area my entire life, I potentially know every shortcut and back ally it has to offer. My favourite time to be on Cowley is during the summertime for Cowley Road Café which is a display of bright colours and a fun parade (before covid) I enjoy going to the Carnival due to the amount of local communities which get along.
