Living in Iffley

It has a wide variety of shops, bars, restaurants and outdoor activities. Buses run frequently to the city centre and train station, to which you can cycle in 15/20 minutes or walk the Thames path in 30/45 minutes. It is a quite area , but you have the benefit of been super close to the Cowley area.

Learning in Iffley

Iffley has easy access to the ring road in Oxford and situated next to the A34. Reading is easily assessable via a bus journey and short train ride or a 55minute drive; London similarly via train or the M40 is in easy access. Iffley also boasts a wide range of accommodation from Victorian buildings to modern flats.

Relaxing in Iffley

With it’s proximity to the Thames Iffley has Aston Eygot, The Kidneys (you will always see a couple of deers around) and a University managed nature park full of deer, variety of wildlife and the Thames for a swim for those brave enough. There is also Florance park and Donnington playfields to relax and play sport. Thames path is amazing for cycling, jogging , you could join one of the rowing clubs. You can join some of them without been in university.

Iffley village: Iffley is a quiet suburb with a village vibe. Its leafy streets are lined with old cottages, Victorian terraces, and traditional pubs. Walkers and cyclists follow the banks of the River Thames, which winds through the area, and Oxford University rowing regattas start by 17th-century Iffley Lock. Built in the 12th century, Romanesque St. Mary Church has a modern stained-glass window designed by John Piper. You can enjoy an amazing brunch at Silvie back garden , really cute and cosy.
